If you’re as ready to get out of the house and cure a case of “cabin fever” as I am, we’ve got the perfect way to do it! I’m very excited to kick off our tractor auction season early this year with an indoor auction. It’ll be nice and toasty inside, and we won’t care what kind of winter weather is blowing around outside!
Not only are there two fantastic auctions to attend, there is also a tractor show! That’s right – an indoor tractor show! Show organizer Josh Deaven has innovated something incredible for collectors to “cure the winter blues.” His show will feature tractors, lawn and garden tractors, demonstrations and talks, vendors and much, much more. Visit his website for a full schedule at: www.LVICTE.org. We’re very proud to be associated with Josh and his show. He’s done many great things for his community and the hobby.
Luther Killam will be offering a collection of more than 225 pedal tractors of all makes and models on Friday. It’s a staggering collection and one of the largest and best sold in the recent past. There are early Eska’s from the 50’s, Vintage Ertls, Customs and some from the last 20 years.
We are also featuring the Don Hershey Collection of more than 120 tractors. What a collection!!! So many makes represented and quality restorations make this one to see. Don spent many years putting the collection together, searching far and wide to find rare and unique tractors. It goes without saying he may have the largest Sheppard and Brockway collections out there. Not only are the tractors quality, but so is Don Hershey.
We are so honored to work with Don on the dispersal of his collection. He is as top shelf of an individual as you will find. He’s been so great to work with, a kind and genuine man that has had a sparkle in his eye each time our staff has been to see him. He is very upfront, open and honest about his collection and is representing it to his highest and best ability. I know you are coming to see some great tractors, but I encourage you to stop and meet Don when you are in attendance. He’s as much of a treasure as the tractors are!
We invite you to Lebanon, PA for a great show and some great auctions. Get out of the house and come and visit us! There are several airports close and the drive is an easy one. If you can’t attend, both auctions will be broadcast online so join us that way if you need to! We’re looking forward to a fantastic 2018 and I can’t think of a better way to start it than this event!
